The Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism Mr. Abdoul Karim Sango proceeded this Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Ouagadougou to the opening of the 15th edition of the Ouagadougou International Book Fair (FILO). It was in the presence of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Christophe Joseph Marie DABIRE patron of the ceremony.

One of the flagship activities of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism is the Ouagadougou International Book Fair (FILO). In this 15th edition, the authors will discuss, share experiences and also reflect on the theme: "literature and promotion of peace and security". This 15th edition of FILO is intended to be "a response from men of letters and culture to strengthening social cohesion and the fight against violent extremism" underlined the Minister in charge of culture.

 

After a 4-year hiatus, FILO returns from November 21 to 24, 2019 with the aim of promoting books and reading for the benefit of pupils, students, book professionals and all those interested in live and free reading. distinction of age or sex. This edition sees the participation of the defense and security forces and writers from France, Senegal and Canada.

 

During 4 days, panels, dedications, literary meetings, training are on the programs in order to allow the population to discover the chain of books and reading.
